Playing around with character design

Hello everyone, this is such a weird way to start a post. But I wanted to start playing with more character designs aging. The drawing you see is a study of a character design I found on Pinterest I like how simple it was. It had a sort of teardrop shape for the body,

A simple circle for the head and circles for the eye. I added the coin around its neck. As well as messed around with the clothes.

As I played around with this design a story began to unfold This is the wizardly spirit of Alendor whose duty was to defend Alendor long ago. Now he roams the ruins of Alendor guarding its lost secrets.

The Shading is what interested me it was in ink I chose to leave it in pencil for now. Below I wanted to try some different

poses. I didn't get very far.
